The Cry Show!
|
One of Lonnie's music heroes of the 1950's was Johnnie Ray. He
was the biggest pop start just prior to Elvis and many call him
the bridge between the crooners and Rock'n'Roll. His influence
over those who were to become the stars of Rock'n'Roll cannot be
over emphasized. He freedom of vocal emotions and stage antics
became part of the hallmark of Elvis's sexual appeal.
Lonnie decided he would like to perform a show that featured
many of the monster hits that Johnnie Ray had during with 1950's
and early 60's so he produced this 26 songs show.
He, The Leemen and a big band bring back to life these popular
hits in true Lonnie Lee style.
It runs 1 hour 12

Lonnie Lee's
Rock'n'Remember Show
|
In 1992 at the height of the Rock'n'Roll nostalgia revival
Lonnie filmed one of his Rock'nRember Shows. This was in one night
of the season at the NightRider Theatre in Homebush Sydney to a
jammed packed audience. The atmosphere was electric and when this
was filmed, they had already seen the first 45 minutes show that
featured The Elderly Bros, The Rockettes and danced to Lonnie's
fabulous Starlite Band.
It was filmed on new Hi8 tape
then released on VHS tape. The production is not as good as what
is available today, however it is quite an historic memory of
those times.
It runs just under an hour.

Lonnie Lee's
Dance Ranch
|
In 1993 The Country Line Dance craze took the world by storm. To
satisfy hungry audiences and dancers, Lonnie started a weekly show
called, 'Lonnie Lee's Dance Ranch' based at the big Mounties
Workers Club. He not only featured special Line Dance instructors,
but every week added 8 to 10 new songs that were associated with
the new dances. The show went on tour and overall ran for just
over one and a half years. During the run, Lonnie decided to film
the event so that dancers across Australia who had the VHS or DVD,
could also join in the fun.
It was filmed on VHS-C tape consequently not the quality one has
come to expect today.
It has 26 songs and runs 74 minutes
